Running Journal Entry 7 (11/13/09)

Posted November 13th, 2009 at 09:51 PM by Black Spurs

I did a 4 this morning in 31:40:19. That is a 7:55 per mile average, which is a good time for me. I could have done a 10 K at that pace, but I didn't have time this morning.

According to my training plan, I should be tapering off my distance to get plenty of rest for the race--even though I am not trying to win the race. Anyway, I am enjoying the running, so I think I will just keep on running. I will run a 13.1 miler on Sunday morning. But I am going bowhunting Sunday PM.

I just read a story about a 100 mile run in Alabama. It is a trail run through rugged country. I think that would be an interesting race. I am not anywhere near being in shape for that, but I may do that in a year. Well, I may try to find a 50 miler first--Actually, I need to get through my first half marathon. It is hard to imagine a 100 mile run.
