Any variation in terrain might make a travel corridor or funnel: (drainage, slough, old road). My favorite places are where trees have fallen and left open areas with briars and cover. Have to approach carefully, though. Never know if a deer is up in there.

Yep. That link is great. Thats all we had back in the day. In more flatwoods, you see those ridge fingers end in the middle of nothing. That point, especially if near a stream , is a good place to check for sign.

When the 1 st Gps came out, the Garmin 12 is the one my gang all had. I would pull the Lat Long off the topo with the 7.5 minute ruler, then call it up on the Garmin.
