Default Trash

It's pretty pathetic how trashy people can be in our state. We have the privilege to hunt some pretty good ground in this state and people continue to trash it up. Camped on a WMA this weekend and between scouting and hunting we picked up 2 trash bags full of litter. People leaving broke down tents and mangled canopies in the camp ground. Also don't understand how people will pass 2 or 3 dumpsters to dump all of their trash ata dead end road in the woods. Rant over. I just hate to see them shut our public hunting use opportunities down because of trash but I can't say I would blame them.

I always come home with more trash than I brought with me. My wife recycles the Al and plastic. Did I say I hate to see flagging.

Flagging is also trash and I will fill my pockets with it. As well as beer cans hanging from limbs on the side of the road to "mark" their parking spots. I stop and pick it all up. Speaking of beer cans, you could follow some individuals all over the WMA this past weekend. They think it's ok to just chunk em out on the road as they are drinkin beer and cruising the WMA. Spoon and I picked up as much as we could.

Iíve yet to find a state with more trash on the side of their roads as Louisiana, not even close. Iíve got a guy I know really well from Hobbs New Mexico that owns an oilfield business. He told me a while back they love the current oil boom in that region but hate all the trash it brought with it from Louisiana.
