Default Any trees left?

Has anyone ventured out in to see if there is anyplace left to hunt? I think I'm going to at least drive through this weekend.... Might have to just suck it up and go look at a couple other WMAs to hunt this year.... 8-(

OMG yeah that's an understatement.... I went out there a while back and it is so disheartening to see how much they have logged it off. My little spot seemed to be unaffected then, but that doesn't mean anything! I plan to take a ride out there this weekend and check it out.... if you go out there don't expect to see much that looks familiar!

To say they logged it is an understatement. The loggers are currently still there on North Road. Itís sad to see that many trees hit in one year, Iím in there on a weekly basis and it donít look like the same woods. All that logging didnít scare off the hogs though, they still are very plentiful in there.

I donít believe, I believe they have been planning to log. It has just been to wet in years past and this year they are catching up. Thatís why it seems so drastic. Itís gonna be great for foraging for the deer for years to come.

yeah deer hunting will be great in a few years.... they should have plenty of new cover, and plenty to munch and snack on while it grows back.... problem is getting somewhere where you can actually hunt .... might have to just go and get me a couple hogs until then..... and may have to "hunt" for a new spot....

I took a ride in there about 3 weeks ago. Rice field rd was closed b/c they were doing a pressure test on the pipeline. But I was told that they did alot of logging down ricefield also. I'm with you Sparky, guess I'll hunt there to put 1 or 2 hogs in the freezer and help cut down on the population. Lol

My work schedule is crazy, but I'm determined to get in there and see if my little spot is even still there....and if it is, I am going to set my trail cam to just peek at what comes through there......
