The 200 Russian contractors were killed by the US over a month ago. This attack was in retaliation to that.

The US did call Moscow and ask if these guys (the Russians) were theirs... Russia said no, and we lit them up.

Yeah, that was the first thing that struck me as odd, but they did say an additional 1800 PMC's were also killed.

I did find an article that said Russian troops were freeing the outskirts of Damascus of rebel control... The are mentioned was exactly where the US forces were alleged to be.

Let me check a SF webpage...

Not a peep...So you're right and this incident probably never happened.

200 US soldiers killed would be all over the mainstream news. Both Liberals and Conservatives would be using that headline to advance their agendas.
