Default Wife got it done

Well the wife got it done for the 3rd straight year killing a big deer. So to understand her situation, being a new momma, sheís made only 1 hunt at very end of season for past 3 seasons and have killed a big one all 3 years... pretty dang lucky right??
She killed a 4.5yr old 6pt that broke off one of his G3ís weighing 180lbs. He was very run down from rutting hard! He was well over 200lbs in November.
We watched a big doe and yearling graze on radish and turnips in plot for an hour as they made their way to 50yrd in front of us. They would look into the woods from time to time so I knew more were coming in. Her buck stepped out and she said he has a broken off antler so I knew immediately who it was. I said take him if you have a shot. She let it rip and he took off across plot and ran into CRP. To understand the following moments you have to recall her past one and done season hunts dropping those deer. She immediately started saying she missed and getting mad at herself. I had to fuss at her to be quite so I could try and listen for him to crash. As he ran I could see a white area by the heart but no blood coming out so I was confident she connected.
I told her to stay in stand and I went to where he was when she shot to check for blood. Didnít find any blood so walked to other side of plot where he ran into CRP and blood was everywhere and I found him piled up 30yrds in CRP. I decided I was going to mess with her so I called her and told her to get out stand and that she missed and Iím coming out. I drug him out and she realized what was actually happening she dropped to her knees crying and laughing at the same time, oh it was good!!
Very proud of her and fortunate to experience these moments with my best friend and love of my life.
