Default Tribute To An Old Friend

Well This was the Saddest Day By Far on the JC Farms Place.I write this with so many tears rolling down my face I cannot see the key board. I am Very Sad to say I just lost My Best Friend of 12 years. She is the Most Loved and Now the Most Missed Friend any body could have.
You see, She had been by my side everyday for 12 years. She was estimated to be 8 months to a year old when She came in my life. That makes Her 13. By my side everyday. Everyday She was waiting for me to grab my keys and holler lets go, or the tick tick sound I would make She was there.
Smart Beyond your wildest dreams. Knew our language like you and I, Those of you Who had been fortunate enough to have met her knows of the intelligence I speak of.
She not only hunted Squirrels, Retrieve woodies, and newspapers, but would go with me to check hog traps. If one (not too big) would get out She was there to catch it till I could get it under control.
She was with me on my trips back Home to Indiana.
She was with me on my trips to Oklahoma.
She rode with me in my tractor cutting and raking and bailing hay.
She was with me on the jacked up golfcart (mud buggy) when we would go riding in the woods checking feeders for the deer.
She was with me everyday greeting customers at work, So smart when She went out to pee She would knock on the door She was so used to going in and out of if we were too busy to open it I would holler 'Go around" and She would be at the front door where someone would let her in.
Please Jesus I need you! Lord I Need Strength!
I don't know how I'm gonna make it to work now, She was part of me!
You See , Goldielocks "Goldie" was more than just a Dog. She is my best friend, The four legged Love of my life!!
I LOVE YOU GOLDIE as only you really know Goldie. I Miss you!!
I have this brand new "old " gun I bought 15 or so years ago and never shot it. Machine Grade Winchester Super X Model one..1 of 500 Mississippi Flyway # 136. I Shot it today Girl Just For You.

JC I feel your pain. Not only are they our pets, they are our best friends and hunting companions. They are family. I've been there and it won't be the same not having her there to greet you. That was an honorable tribute to your best friend. May she rest in peace.

We love them, but our love can never exceed their love for us. The MAN gives them to us, to teach us, to love us unconditionally and to show us how to live each moment in the present. You were blessed. . and I know the void in your life and the pain in your heart right now is great, but I also know that you will always remember and never forget the love that she shared with you.

It is so hard. . .I love my dogs too, and the loss of each leaves a hole in the heart. Don't worry, she will be waiting for you. All dogs go to Heaven!

I feel your pain also. I lost two dogs in years past that lived in the house and slept in the bed with us. After I lost each of them, I would wake up and expect to see them. It was hard for a while. They become exactly like a best friend or child.
This morning, my young lab, on her second hunt was almost on her last. I was trying to tie her down so she would not break. A few birds flew in and the guys started shooting. She broke and pulled the rope out of my hands while I was trying to tie it. My buddy was squeezing the trigger when she jumped in front of his bead. My heart sank.
As hard as it is, only time will hear your pain. Im sure that all of your dogs talents did not only come natural but also came due to your companionship and training. The only thing you can do to help is get you another dog and start over.

I'm sorry, I feel your pain. Dogs always have a way of comforting you and knowing when something is wrong... lots of shared emotions and bonding moments that are forever in your heart. R.I.P Goldie.

JC, give yourself time to grieve, but I bet that your heart is big enough to share life and love with another canine friend. Don't worry, that friend will find you soon enough, and Goldie will probably send him/her to you.
