Default Best Hog Rifle

What is the BEST hog caliber? .308 or 45/70. Been looking at both and really like both but which do y'all think is really the best. All input would really help.

I like 308... I have it in AR's and in bolt actions. You can smack hogs, deer, elk, predators, etc... It's a all around great caliber!

Your not limited on distance and you can buy high power ammo an less powdered rounds for the 308!

Ballistically I don't think the two even come close to each other.
.308 is going to have more power than you need and reach way further down range.
