Default Checking in from Missouri

My home folks in Louisiana have been after birds for weeks, and a lot who normally do well seem to be struggling.
Been doing a lot of scouting here and taking my kid on his last season for youth hunting. He has been on a roll.
Here are his Kansas and Missouri Youth birds.

Extreme eastern Kansas is predominantly Eastern. You don't have to go very far west to get into Eastern/Rio hybrids. The first one Will shot looked much more Rio than Eastern and the one he shot later that day looked like a straight up Eastern. The two birds were shot a quarter mile apart. Pure Rios would be Salina or West......and even some of the very northwest areas along the Nebraska line, they start looking like Rio/Merriams hybrids.
