North defiently has more snakes, but i think the hogs have helped out with them. The north i think has become more popular because of the high numbers of hunters that used to be on the south. But i think they just flip flop every few years.

both sides or crowded on week ends. but I think the hunters or spread out more on the north track. ive seen big bucks on both sides. The woods on the south track are mostly big timber and open. You got to find aplace where they ant scared to death to walk around alittle. There is no hunting on the park side of the south trail. So thats where alot of the good one live. So hunting close to the wheeler trail that runs between the two sides works for some guys. Calling works good in the late season. Good luck
