Too help save you a little bit, I use my tree arm while I'm in my ground blind too, I turn the blind too where one of my small shooting windows is close to a tree and strap it through the window too the tree works good for me

Thanks fr all your help guys, I was pretty busy yesterday afternoon with some work around the house and never got back online. I will be sure to check out some of your advised options and see which i like better.

Thats would be a canon hfm 500?

Personally I like Canon over any other, then Sony, pretty much just a preference..

Rut that is indeed a nice setup. This is a great thread.

I wonder if you would take a few minutes to explain your procedure as you transition from cameraman to traditional hunter taking the shot.
How are you using that viewfinder during the heat of battle?

Getting that accomplished over a baitpile is one thing, but a moving feeding deer on acorns is something else and much more difficult.

I've seen Warren's version, and find this very interesting and informative. Various vids elsewhere also show the deer picking up small creaking noises the fluid head (or lack of) may be making.

Canon my bad it was late sorry bout that. Yea their low light capability is pretty sweet. Wonder if you could mount it to your bow lol.

Why, yes you can.....hehehe.... I made a homemade mount 2 years ago for my hfm 31
