I think the Broncos will win, but I'm pulling for the Seahawks; I love to see the underdog upset the odds.

Denver held the ball for almost the same amount of time per game as the Seahawks, AND put up the most points in history.

Also, in terms of defenses, maybe they haven't played a team that was ranked in the top 5 in yards allowed, but they played KC twice, who is ranked at #5 in points allowed. Points are all that matters in the end.

Schedule though man. KC got that high rank....UNTIL
they got to the first team with a winning record and got whooped.

Things changed after that.

Oh come on, if it weren't for injuries at different points in the season, and especially in the playoffs, they would have gone further than they did. They were on their way to the divisional round before injuries killed them. Plus, they still didn't give up a ton of points.

Denver played 7 games against teams that made the playoffs. Seattle played 5. Grant it, both of them had teams from their own division make it.

Seattle had a pretty crappy schedule too, so the schedule argument doesn't work very well.

Either way, if weather is good, Seattle isn't running away with it. Peyton Manning is in the Super Bowl for a reason. The guy is amazing. He knows how to pick apart defenses. And Seattle has to contend with the best passing game in the NFL, and a Top 10 run defense.

Kansas City DID NOT beat a SINGLE TEAM with a WINNING RECORD!

What argument? I already pointed this out about Seattle earlier.

Strength of Schedule works very well when figuring out a team.

Good point, forgot you pointed that out before.

My point exactly though, they didn't play anyone. Denver played a few teams that were on the verge of the playoffs too. Seattle played teams that either made tthe playoffs or were out by a long ways.

Well regardless of their schedules,
both Seattle and Denver won their play-off games RESPECTFULLY!

BUT!

There is a difference.

Seattle had to play the #3 Defense in the NFL(Niners) 3 times.
They went 2-1 against them.

Seattle had to play the #4 Defense in the NFL(Saints)
twice(@ Home though)
They went 2-0 against the Saints.
-I think the Saints could have won at home-

Seattle had to play the #2 Defense in the NFL(Panthers) once.
1-0 against them.

Seattle also went 1-1 against a 10 win Arizona team that would have been in the play-offs in ANY OTHER Division. BUT! they're in the same division as the Niners and Seahawks so even with 10 wins they were screwed lol

-`-`-`-`-`-`

Besides beating KC twice....who else is impressive on Denver's schedule?

You tell me.

Strength of Schedule, goes to Seahawks.

I don't care what defenses they played. The significant side of the ball for Denver is not the defense, its the offense. Find an offense that they played that equals Denver. You wont, because they don't have Manning. Manning is the X factor here.

Yea but what you're not seeing is that even with playing against those teams, Seahawks are still #7 in Scoring Offense. They can score too.

Denver is #1 in Offense.....against who?
Who did they put up all those big numbers on?

Tennessee, Houston, Oakland, Washington, Dallas, Giants, etc etc.
All of these teams are sub .500 or worse, some way worse.

What I think is possible here. Is similar to an Oregon Ducks.
Where they put up incredible numbers against inferior opponents all year long.

..until they meet the team with a Defense.

Now Denvers no spread offense, I know that, just using Oregon as a loose example.

Similarly the Seahawks have NOT faced an O Juggernaut like I've already said earlier today.

Offense Scoring Rank and win/loss record for SEA
Saints #10 (2-0)
49ers #11 (2-1)
Minn #14 (1-0)
Arizona #16 (1-1)

Manning is LEGIT, we all know that. But we also know he hasn't faced a pass rush like the Seahawks have. We also all know that he is literally immobile as a QB. The Seahawks front 7 are serious giving the back 4 time to work.

Will Denver's Defense that allows 100 rushing a game stop Seattle? heck they're 27th in Pass Defense. That should give Wilson some room to throw.

It will NOT depend on Manning. He will perform and will do so very well. That's what he does. BUT! he can't perform, if he's dodging defenders.

The Trenches, that's where the game comes back to.
Will the Den O-line be able to give Manning time?

If not, Manning is in for a long night of running around. Something he doesn't like to do and one of the only things that pisses him off more than anything. He and Tom Brady are a like in that way. They will get pissed off and start yelling at the Offensive Lineman. That's a double edge sword. You may motivate them, or you may piss them off.

Bull spit. He hasn't faced a pass rush like Seattle?!?! He faced 2 teams that had more sacks than Seattle. Is that not indicative of a pass rush?!?!

Everyone wants to talk up Seattle's defense like its God or something. Denver has beat good defenses, that o-line has proved they can block. They shut down KC and New England. Four games against two of the top sack units in the NFL and they gave up 2 sacks.

Denver is going to be prepared for Seattle. Seattle gave up 160 yards passing to Manning in a preseason game against the starters. Its not going to be much different.

The fact is though, if the weather is crappy, Denver is screwed. They aren't a bad weather team, because they throw. I HATE this location, because the Super Bowl Champion will be the team that plays better in crappy weather, not the team that is better.

This could be a great game in Miami or SoCal, pass vs. Run. #1 D vs. #1 O. Sadly, I don't think that is going to happen.
