I heard on Tiger Talk they claimed
ULL's 'chippiness' is one of the reasons
LSU quit playing them.

An example was given that a few weeks ago
UL's Catcher started a brawl or tried to with
another teams batter?

They have a loyal fan base for sure,
but not any more loyal than other teams.

You don't have to win Championships
to have a loyal fan base. But some folks think you do.

I read a story years ago in Sporting News or some sports magazine. It was a LA team and I'm thinking that it was USL. It was during a baseball game and they were having issues with the ump calling balls and strikes so the coach told the pitcher to throw at the umps head and told the catcher to let it hit him. Nothing was said after the first time but then it happened again and the team was warned. When it happened the 3rd time, the ump tossed the pitcher and catcher. Out comes a new pitcher and catcher and guess what happened. They too hit the ump. I don't remember if the game was called or what but I'm 100% sure it was a team from South LA and I'm thinking it was USL.

I know it wasn't LSU. It was either USL, McNeese, or Hammond High aka Southeastern.

Sounds like a bush league thing to do.

Oh did I say bush league? I meant Sunbelt Conference. Lmao!

All jokes aside, this is going to be a fun series. There is more on the line here than just a trip to the CWS. The loser of the series will have to live with the fact that an in-state rival kept them out of the CWS.

There's never been more meaningful games between the two schools. I hope to the good Lord that ULL gets smacked around like the scalded dog they act like. The guys I know will never shut up about it if they win.
