Do hogs have a home range or do they just constantly move area to area. Just wondering cause I jump up a beast Wednesday 10yrds in a briar thicket. Caught a quick glimpse look like a rhino. Would like to get that

Answer based off of what I have seen is...somewhat
They seem to stick to a general area for a short time period then move on. Big mature boars seem to constantly be on the move.
I bumped a monster boar myself the other day, at least 250. Killed a few that weighed in around 180-200 on a scale and he was much bigger.. I let out a chuckle watching that big bowling ball running through the woods.

Had a spot on public in turkey season I was able to see hogs every time I walked into there around the same time in the am.This went on for about 3-4 days. 5-6 years since then and it has never been that way again.

They definitely move when the pressure is on! Hogs are smarter than most people think! Kill a couple in one area then theyre gone! But will be back much later i see! Usually go same places at start of each season and its thick!!!

My experience with hogs is that as long as you got feed for them they will continue to come back. Now they may come at night if they feel pressured but feed gets them every time.
