Default buck

this deer was taken day before thanksgiving, 2006 at 10'00am by a GI from ft.polk.. it scored 168 5/8 in safari club. Net score of 174 5/8. hunter was sitting on the ground and shot this buck at 30 yds with his 30/30. just curious if anyone knows of a bigger buck taken from peason ridge.

Default buck

the man who killed this buck has a bayoubucks profile. he told he's story on here in the peason ridge forum. he is from iowa and he said he did not really realize what he had killed till later on. the story i heard was he drove onto peason, got out of his truck and just walked down in the woods and sat by a tree. it was not a few mins this walked by. if that's true. that man is the LUCKIEST hunter in the world. but it does happen so i'm not gonna say it's a lie. stranger things have happen. and i can't say that i would'nt have shot him if he was standing in the impact area either. i would have let the lead fly right through the impact. lol!!!!!!!

I never heard about this deer until now...if you want more information call Elton at 337-531-5222.

I took this one in 2005 it was suppose to be the biggest that year but it doesnt match the one you showed us.
