Default Long Lost Buck

This skull was found on Dewey Wills WMA by JT's uncle. Ya know someone's out there still having nightmares about this buck.

I just spoke with my Dad to confirm the story that I told Jason. The buck was found in Dewey Wills at an old oil field location by my Uncle. The area around the location was thick and grown up and surrounded by button woods. We have speculated that the deer was shot and found high ground on the small levee around the old oil well to get out of the backwater. It was found about 10 years ago but not before the rats and squirrels had chewed on the antlers. It hung in my Dad's storage shed for years until he gave it to me.

I am going to stain these antlers and try and bring them back to life! I even thought about cutting the antlers off at the pedicals and attaching them to an imitation skull or one of the "Iron Buck" skulls. He is too nice of a buck not to "fix him up" and show him off!

I will post pics of the process.

The deer has some of the same characteristics of that big buck killed couple years ago off of dewey wills. Big main frame eight that scored in the 160's. Awesome deer in that part of the state.
