Best Out of State Hunt for the Money?
Me & couple of guys at work are trying to put together a trip to go on an out of state deer hunt. We want to bowhunt on public land in early November in the midwest. Also we would like to go where we would have the best chance for success for the least amount of money; not necessarily were we can kill the biggest deer. Anyone have any suggestions?
The only out of state deer hunting I've done is in Mississippi & Texas, so this is all new to me. We've been kicking around Kentucky, Arkansas, Indiana, & Missouri. Any help would be great!

Kentucky would probably be the cheapest out the states you listed. I had looked hard into going there last year and I couldn't believe how cheap the licenses were.

We are looking at the Land of the Lakes, but got some of the info we found shows it not to be great hunting.

Tough question to answer. Which is better....2 deer for $1500 or 5 for $3500? For $3500 you can go to the Ford Ranch in Texas and kill 1 trophy and 3 or 4 does. Believe me, in 3 days you won't have a problem doing it. It's a bigger challenge to kill the does than the trophy buck. It's not high fence, it isn't that far of a drive, and it's a sure thing. IMO, the cheaper the hunt, the lower the odds of success are.
