Default stock landing rd.

ive launched canoes here a couple years ago and had no problem. talked to the guy that lives by the launch and he seemed nice. went by there recntly and they got part of it all fenced off and gated. you can still go down to the big house and get to the water, but i guess youre not really supposed to.. i dunno, anyone know if its legal to launch a small boat there or not?

That area is right in the middle of a big legal battle as we speak.

is there a way i can keep updated on this battle? maybe put my words in? i guess theres not much you can do though. that land is owned by someone and it would be up to the landowners if public can launch here or not..

Send me PMs later in the year. I hear about it on the news and read about it in the Alexandria Town Talk. I think that "big house" you are talking about is a lawyers camp. So, it's probably not OK to launch a boat there.

Like TH said, it's an ongoing legal battle. All the guys that I used to hunt with from out of that landing now have keys to get into the gate. The woman put the gate up after some high school kids trashed the house up on the hill. I believe they pay some where between $50-100 a year.

Anyone have any more updates on this. We camp a half mile from that gate. They usually let us thru
