Default Tensas/Big Lake roads

With all the rain moving thru the area today on top of the water situation already, I was wondering what the roads would be like this coming weekend. Was gonna head over there Friday but I don't know now. What y'all think?

Didn't hunt this past weekend, but most of the roads were closed down. I can't even get to where I hunt.

Where everyone is calling the Indian Lake Road, is it the 577 spur where it crosses the Indian Lake Bridge?

I would say its on Indian lake road where the no you crossing next to the private at the border of big lake and tensas. It could also be by the bridge on 577 spur or most likely both.

I'm sure all that is under by the spur it goes under first if I remember correctly. The only way back to sharkey is across alligator bayou which looks like it could be fun right now.

I haven't been over to look but bowhuntr74 goes in from that way and I would believe him.. Going north toward Indian lake through big lake is most likely impassable and would not be a fun road to try and navigate right now..

Y'all have to remember, these woods are mostly still there cause they held water and weren't good for farming, so they were left standing. Most if not all of the bottoms will be full and hard to wade without hip boats and very few places that you can access without being in a boat.. Sure some places are accessible but you and everybody else will be there. Lol

Oh, I have no doubt about people being there and understand about the woods and the roads. Been hunting up there a few years. Just basically thinking out loud. Stayed at Miss Lee's many years ago and the road went under then. I know they raised it some, wasn't sure about that stretch or the one going north to Indian lake.

My camper is still at Hunter's Bend and I need to haul it home.
