Default Eagles?

Been meaning to ask have y'all seen any eagles around big Alabama south?

Could have sworn I saw one around Bayou Manual Road couple weeks back.

I was driving and only got a quick short look.

It could have been an Osprey that you saw.

Is it unusual to see them in that area? We see them all over the place in Terrebonne Parish as well as up at the camp on Toledo Bend. I was fishing in the Bayou Black marsh of Terrebonne parish about two weeks ago and probably saw 8 or so different bald eagles.

Eagles have spread out pretty well. I've seen them driving down LA 1 at False River and all over in the Basin. If you see a mature one reasonably close it's pretty hard to mistake them for another bird.

I've been watching a pair nest in thistlwaite for probably five or six years now. The nest takes up the whole top of a tubelo tree.

I've never seen them in Sherburne to my surprise, because they do inhabit the basin. .

I've seen them flying over the pilot channel on multiple occasions while hunting and fishing.
