Default Swap weekend of deer hunting for escort?

I need some help with a small issue and we may end up helping each other. I have a 16'x16' portable building on skids that I need to get from Lafayete to Haynesville, LA. I have the trailer to haul it and will get the proper permits for this load. I am being told that I have to hire a licensed escort for this load. I was hoping I might find someone in that business that would be willing to escort in exchange for a nice weekend of hunting at my camp. It can be for anytime of the season and for any weapon. You will have a great place to hunt and be wined and dined for the weekend. Just thought I would try this before hiring someone else. I thouhgt it might help someone that doesn't have a nice place to hunt. I have 25 box stands to choose from and a dozen locko on ladder stands. You can e-mail me if you are interested.

I dont think a chaufers license will qualify. i do alot of overweight and over size hauling but i have never hauled anything that big. I believe The way the law states is that if you are an individual the DOT law does not apply. I have hauled 14 foot wide and had to get a state trooper escort i would call them i dont think it was that much. They may have to close down lanes. I hope you not going on any two lane roads because that will cover both lanes completely. Hope this helps.

I had to laugh man, when I saw the title of your post I thought you were talking about some other kind of "escort service". That would sure be a new one!

You can hire a off duty sheriff deputy or state police man, they do some of that work on the side.

I have a friend that is a trooper and he told me that he gets $60 per hour for escorts. I believe this is paid by the individual he is escorting for.

I bought a building in Lafayette and had it delivered to lake Arthur and I don't remember it bieng that much. Try contacting some of these portable building places about moving it for you. PM me and I might be willing to donate to your cause for a week-end hunt!!
