Default Fishing trip in Florida.

I'm planning a trip with some buddies and we're looking for offshore charter recommendations. We'll be somewhere in southwest florida (fishing charters will determine where we stay; naples, tampa, etc.), and we're looking to do a few days of inshore fishing and a few days of offshore; maybe try to get into some snook one day depending on where we are. Just curious if any of you guys have gone on any trips down there and might have some advice or specific guys to go with. I do alot of inshore fishing in LA but I don't really know anyone down there to go with.

I've done a couple of charters and I was disappointed both times. They were offshore, really no comparison offshore to what we have here. I know this doesn't help much other than if I tried again I stay with with the inshore fishing.

Ive done a couple of Offshore Charters out of Pensacola nothing that far south. We smoked the fish everytime we have been out down there in the panhandle.

I would love to do the snook fishing my Uncle used to live in Tampa and loved catching them things......wish i had got to go with him before he passed.

All my charters have been off the panhandle as well. Swim with the manatees while you are down there String it's a blast. Just watch out those whiskers are rough.

I made a trip in the Keys with Captain Wells Gable for Snook. It was a really tough day but we manged a few. The Snook fishing is on a decline down there so do it while you can. Cold weather is killing them and after this past winter its not looking good.
