Default Mid season scouting

Just curious if anyone could suggest the best time to scout Tunica mid-season to avoid interrupting other hunters and prevent being a statistic.

My father and I were hunting a small plot of land in Zachary but the deer have seem to move out of there and have not been back in weeks. Prior to the season they were in there 6 - 8 at a time.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Default TUNATIC

Muzzleloader starts this weekend at Tunica Nov 28th -Till Dec. 7th. I would be apprehensive about walking around with people that hunt "movement" in the brush.... Wear lots of orange and stay out of the thick bottoms where you may be mistaken for an "orange" deer.

It is public land and you have just as much right as anyone else. You can usually tell which trails that people or hunting due to where they leave their 4 wheelers. I would stay off of those ridges that are being hunted. I sometimes think people walking around tend to push the deer and make them move. Most people get out of their stands around 10 am and scout after they hunt for the morning and set up in a different location for the afternoon. People will be riding 4 wheeler and walking around all over. Its a big place and hard to get up and down those hills. Good luck and be carefull.
