VOTE NOW: Main Event
Vote on your favorite buck now! You must register for the forum to vote; it's free, and takes about 60 seconds. There were some amazing submissions into the trail-cam contest this past season. Of the 80+ Louisiana bucks entered into the Main Event Category, 16 judges ignored total B&C scores and selected 10 of these bucks based on their own personal preferences. They could not vote for their own submissions. The ten bucks being most frequently selected by the judges made the final 10. Several of the bucks below were chosen by every judge, so it should be interesting how the votes fall out. You can only vote for one buck, and you cannot change your vote, so please choose carefully. You CAN vote for your own picture. Comments are encouraged on this thread.

BB, will any prizes be given out? You may have said but I missed it. Good luck to all entries, they are all VERY nice and you should be proud to have them.

yes, prizes are being lined up still for 1-3 places in each category. It's very impressive to see some of these bucks we have in Louisiana, and I think every one of us would be proud to put any one of them on our wall. Also, it's safe to say that all of these bucks are at least 3 1/2 years old, and I'd go as far as to say that at least 8/10 are 4 1/2 or older, mature bucks. It's interesting how nocturnal these older bucks are by looking at the times the photos were taken. Like Chuck Carr said, when the pressure's on I really don't believe they move a single inch during daylight hours until the rut, and even then it's some kind of "forced movement" that gets them killed...whether it be another hunter, 4-wheeler, dog/coyote, or hot doe. They're like ghosts.

That was exactly what we said here at work.....all of them at night. That should be a good example of when the rut hits in your area, you better be in the woods as much as possible because thats the only time these bruiser's will be out in the daylight.

Alot depends on the hunter as to which buck he votes for. Some like drop tines, forked brows, kickers, stickers, etc. Some like mass over tine length or visa versa.

I think the deer in the "C" pic could take the big bull in the funniest one's! But I personally liked the "I" bc the velvet looked really good to me.
