Default Cleaning a cast iron pot...

Picked up this pan for $1.00 at a garage sale cause it was scaled up pretty bad, put it in a trash bag and sprayed it down real good with some "easy off" oven cleaner let it set for two days and presto we back in action lol Click image for larger version

I'm gonna have to try that. My cast iron skillet is my kitchen work horse.

I have a bunch I cast iron pots that I never get to use thanks to my crappy ceramic top electric stove.. I need to buy me a burner. A well seasoned Cast iron pot/skillet makes everything taste just that much better.

Scratch off the rust and cook up some cracklins or fry some blackstrap in it. Best way I found to cleanup up and I get to eat when I'm done. 2 birds 1 stone.

Sure it's not as good as a flame but I always used a black pot on my crappy ceramic top electric stove.
