Dirty Jobs ain’t got nothin’ on these bayou boys. Join Dale Bordelon and David Roy of Hessmer, Louisiana as they relocate ancient alligator snapping turtles to wetter ground next to Lake Ophelia NWR in Avoyelles Parish during the drought of 2000. Although this video was submitted to us, we will be doing extensive filming with the Bordelons this year on their property for Bayou Bucks II.

First time I have ever seen catching turtle that way. Looks like a candidate for that “Dirty Jobs” TV Show.
That was pure joy for me to see! It brings back a lot of memories for me, although my turtle hunting was mostly for large softshells. Thanks BBs
Man that’s some of the coolest stuff I’ve ever seen. Never caught turtles like that before. Awesome!!
That is some cool stuff. We have a hole that drys up too. We crawfish it in the spring and have seen some big turtles like that in there. Now we have to catch ‘em!
Man that looks like a whole lot of fun! I like the fact that they relocate most of them so they can have turtle meat for next year.
Very cool video. These guys go through a lot to help save these ancient animals. Good stuff right there.
Great video and good information on how to find them. Much better than that Arkansas Indian Rebel sucker. LOL!
Really like the video. This is close to my stomping grounds as I live in bunkie and hunt that area a lot. Good job guys and keep the videos coming.
Great video….I was wonderin’ when Super Dave was gonna put down the camera and help out….hehehe….I fished that place before back in the 80′s with Dale’s nephew….Used to catch some big bass there….
Great video…. If ya’ll called Dirty Jobs they would probably come do a show on this.
