The first annual Bayou Bucks Bow & Bull 3-D Shoot is scheduled for this Saturday, August 22 at 4 Seasons Archery in Opelousas, LA. For a first-ever shoot, turnout is expected to be high. Everyone is encouraged to attend, regardless of whether he or she is a member of the forum or shoots in the tournament. BayouBucks.com cameras and Cajun Outdoors Magazine will be covering the event. The Bow & Bull Shoot will feature several shooting divisions and the course is being designed to appeal to hunters, not professional tournament shooters (although all are certainly welcome). Over $800 in prizes have been donated (still growing) and the details & rules for the shoot are outlined below:

When: Saturday, August 22. Registration begins at 8:30 AM and Shoot will begin at 10:00 AM.

Where: 4-Seasons Archery in Opelousas, LA.

Driving Directions:

Tourney Cost: $25 per shooter ($15/range fee + $10/cash payback).

Divisions: Bowhunter Release Class, Youth-Class (≤15), & Women’s Class (tentative).

Schedule of Events:

8:30 am – Registration Begins (Practice Range Open)
10:00 am - Shoot Begins (NO late entries accepted)
Noon - $5 Lunch (BBQ and Dirty Rice), Awards, & Door Prizes
1:00 pm - Iron Buck Challenge (Bring a Spare Arrow)
1:30 pm - Bull Shooting Meet & Greet Begins (BYOB!!!)
