A Message to Our Family
by BayouBucks.com
10/28/2009

front_pageBayouBucks.com just entered its 15th month of existence, and several of our members have been along for the ride since day one. Many others have joined the ranks along the way during our swift transformation into the momentous force we’ve become in the Louisiana hunting network. But we’re beyond a web site, and our members understand this. We’re real people—each an individual with a real name. We hunt, we hunt hard, love God and our families, cherish the friendships we’ve made, and we’re dead set on spreading these attributes to others. In this regard, we will not waiver until every dedicated hunter who shares these beliefs joins our ranks.

Passion drives us, and passion alone. No amount of money can buy what has manifested itself here during our 15 short months. The growth this site has achieved is a product of a love and respect for our fellow outdoorsmen, and this intrinsic value can never be diminished or taken away. We at BayouBucks.com are proud to know that among our community are the most proficient, skilled, and sportsmanlike outdoorsmen and women of Louisiana—the cream of the crop—the elite. And with the unshakable foundation our wonderful members have created and maintained, Bayou Bucks will continue to grow in a similar fashion throughout all its endeavors, with a acute dedication to quality and exceptionalism over any sort of arbitrary financial gain.

When it comes to innovation, we’re proud to be the first on several fronts. With the Bayou Bucks DVDs, we’ve brought you entertainment, information, and excitement that’s unmatched and unriveled. This will continue and only improve, because Bayou Bucks doesn’t make our DVDs—you do. Our cameras will continue to stomp the bayous, swamps, marshes, and hills with Louisiana’s most dedicated and talented hunters, and bring them straight into your living rooms.

With BayouBucks.com, we are again proud and honored to lead on the innovation front. By the grace of our members’ insightful ideas and wonderful staff, we’ve brought you ground breaking features such as in-depth articles, social groups, interactivity, scientific studies, unique forums, advanced communication, networking capability, personal photo albums, blogs, contests, events, and informational videos—the list goes on and on. At BayouBucks.com, we’re honored to be the original trend-setters, and our work here is never done. This is our motto, and as time progresses, we will continue to blaze paths which other sites aspire to follow, all for the betterment of Louisiana’s well-deserved outdoorsmen. There will never exist any shortage of innovative ideas and pioneering development here at BayouBucks.com.

The community of this web site is a living, breathing entity. Something very special exists here, and we as hunters understand this. We’ve laughed together, cried together, hunted together, shared pride together, and been front-and-center on every emotional rollercoaster our fellow members have endured. As an organization, we don’t have to claim to be the best, because our writers and members attest to this everyday by means of their talented contributions, collective genius, and commitment to excellence. We are a growing family, and welcome every like-minded individual aboard who shares our passions. We will stay the course and always remain on the high road, acting in solidarity and with honor as one collective force—guided by the strengths given us by our faith in God, our families, and our friends. Pals we are, and pals we shall always remain.

If you’re among the many who read our forums and have yet to sign up, we encourage you to register and participate so that together we can all learn, grow, and make new friendships. If you’ve been a member and know like-minded individuals we can recruit into our ranks, feel free to use our Invite Friends feature to bring them aboard.

On behalf of all of our members, writers, staff, programmers, designers, and producers, we wish everyone in Louisiana a successful and safe hunting season. It’s been a wonderful 15 months!

The Bayou Bucks Hunting Community.

Bayou Bucks is not just forum it is a Family and not just any Family the best one you could ask for. I see it as a perfect Family where all comments and remarks are positive, no bickering only poking at each other in a fun way. We are a Brotherhood of hunters in the world and what Bayou Bucks have done is strengthened that Brotherhood help build a group of Dedicated and Passionate people into the Greatest Site on the internet in the greates state in the nation God’s Country Louisiana. We have all visited numerous sites where you get the feeling it is not right and probably won’t last but here at Bayou Bucks the vibe is enormous and it will only get bigger and better. Jason is right to pass your knowledge and experiencce of this site to others that you feel can benifit and add to the ranks of the Proud mambers of Bayou Bucks. God Bless and Safe Hunting

Thanks BB for giving a novice hunter like me a place to ask questions & receive answers without anyone making judgements. Thanks for hosting a place where those who hunt, fish or just love the woods can share their stories of success as well as their disappointments and where we can expand our circle of friends who share our passion.

Kudos! Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

  19. Jim Beam    (October 28th, 2009 at 10:21 pm)

It only makes sense that the best **** state in the country for hunting has the best hunting site/forum (that I’ve seen)! Thank you and congrats on a job extremely well done. That goes for Jason and everyone else thats a part of this site.

  21. deerkiller    (October 28th, 2009 at 10:22 pm)

Thanks BB for all the stuff you have brought to this site. I’m always on this site and trying to see who killed and what everyone has to say. Its so bad that my boss clowns me and everytime I pick up my phone he asks if i’m getting on bayoubucks. Thanks for putting this site together so that us hunters can keep learning and teaching others. Its a really great site.

  22. Sendero762    (October 28th, 2009 at 10:35 pm)

Thank you Bayou Buck, and all members, for giving us a place to learn, laugh and share eachother’s experiences. For the last year I hve enjoyed everything this site has to offer. The 3D shoot let us put faces to the names of people we felt like we already knew. How often does that happen? On this sight all you have to do is ask any kind of question or opinion, and a positive answer is what your likely to get. This is truely a great site that I am proud to be a part of.

  23. BuckNutz    (October 28th, 2009 at 11:01 pm)

This site is a great idea! I have had a great time with what I call my “Digital Hunting Camp”. Never thought it would be this interesting. Just goes to show you what I know.

  24. DaleMac22    (October 29th, 2009 at 12:16 am)

This is a great site, can’t wait to get a little down time to check in on others hunts and view their pics. I’ve never met any of the people on here, but to listen to their stories and follow the hunts and the pics of the deer….I almost feel like I know them. Congrats on the 1st 15 mths and may we have many more to follow.

  25. Antelope08    (October 29th, 2009 at 7:25 am)

I am sure those 15 months zipped by extremely fast…this site offers a place to share and gather information that most magazines don’t offer for hunters in our state. The people that are a part of it is what makes it great…..

  37. Chadabear    (October 29th, 2009 at 10:23 am)

I just went through 4 pages of sign in names that I see EVERY day on this site. It is the true “Brotherhood” of Louisiana’s most premier web site. I’d be willing to bet a weeks pay that EVERY name on this post signs in MULTIPLE times a day. Not only do we get the Foremost in hunting and personal advice from this site, but the dignity and love shared through common interests have made me proud to call everyone on the site a true part of my “family”. I have benefitted ten fold over the last 15 months, not only through the gain in Friends, but knowledge, and financially. NO WHERE in the United States is there a place like this that will offer that kind of service. Be Proud people….The Government can try to take away all our rights as citizens, but they can’t take away our Love and Worship of the great outdoors and the Lord Jesus Christ…I’ve been here since day one, and will be here till my maker decides otherwise. Therefore, this is my trunk of life I have set my root into. As far as I am concerned, no other web site in THIS state, can nor EVER will compare, no matter what changes occur……….just sayin..lol

  38. Buck Stoper    (October 29th, 2009 at 11:41 am)

    Thank You Bayou Bucks!!
My wife and I visit this site everyday.

I’ve learned tons of great helpful information here. Like you said, we have the cream of the crop. I don’t think there’s a question that can be answered here.
    We Love it!!!

  39. Tasso Joe    (October 29th, 2009 at 11:41 am)

Discovered this site last week and decided to join. This is my first post. I’m really having a great time hearing and learning about all the different hunting strategies from different parts of the state. Thanks again, and Pistol I know who you are.

  40. Ricky Aucoin    (October 29th, 2009 at 8:25 pm)

Jason, I cannot add a single word to what you have written. You said it so eloquently and so sincerely. I know how much this site means to you and also to all of us. What a great bunch of guys and girls we have here. It is an absolute pleasure to read the reports, stories and articles. I think we all learn from each other and that is a great thing in my opinion. You have done a wonderful job in creating this website from scratch and building it into what it has become—so quickly. I am looking forward to many more adventures with you as we get to hunt together again. I have said this before, but it is worth repeating. Last season when Jason and I hunted together, I came to know this young man. You could not ask more of a hunting partner, Jason is as hard core as they come. I took him to some nasty, muddy, mosquito infested areas of the Delta that many would not want to return to. How did he handle it? With a smile and a great attitude, that’s how! He has a great passion and enthusiasm for deer hunting that is very evident. Jason has a very cheerful disposition and was very polite and courteous with my family, as he stayed at my home for a few days. Though he is the same age as my son, I felt a connection with him that covered more than just deer hunting. Yes, Jason has become a true friend to me. My advice to you Jason, is to stay humble, thank God every chance you get, for all He has blessed you with and just enjoy life!

  41. Hollow Point    (October 29th, 2009 at 8:53 pm)

Jason thanks for the website which I have learned things from other hunters, and thanks for the Bayou Bucks DVD. Can not wait for part II to come out

  42. StraighTalker    (October 30th, 2009 at 8:09 pm)

Great website, and no doubt this is just the beginning. Many more years are on the way!

  43. Professor T    (November 2nd, 2009 at 9:41 am)

If we are still in the beginning on this site can you imagine how good it is going to be in the future? I consider it an honor to be here with all you guys and gals. Many friendships have started for me already here and I hope a lot more to come. Thanks to everyone for making this site what it is.

  44. JMBroussard83    (December 10th, 2009 at 8:56 pm)

Thank you Bayou Buck for giving us the opportunity to come together and become more than members of a website. I am proud to say I am addicted to Bayou Bucks and I think of the other members as part of a big ole family. I have an enormous amount of hunting knowledge from other members, followed their hunts live as it happens, shared in thied excitement when they acheive victory afield and we’ve all shared the disapointment when tragic things happen. I am proud to be a sibling in this wonderful family.

  45. tporche    (February 26th, 2010 at 8:05 pm)

Great website! Its’ the first thing that I do when I get to work. I’ve told my fellow club members about the site. Great job, KEEP UP THE FIRST CLASS JOB. Thanks Terry

  46. SBF    (May 23rd, 2010 at 8:26 pm)

Jason, I have been visiting and reading on the site off and on since the beginning. I decided to register a couple of months ago, but have yet to post. I am sure there are many silent readers like myself that appreciate the positive/sportsmanlike attitudes expressed by the members on this site. You and your staff deserve much of the credit for fostering that attitude. This is a great site, filled with good people and good information. Thank you!!!
