Bayou Bucks 3D Shoot Going Nationwide

It’s about that time again! Dust off the bows and wax those strings—the 4th Annual Bayou Bucks Bull & Bow Shoot is scheduled for Saturday, August 25th at SLO 3D Archery in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Net proceeds will be donated to Combat Marine Outdoors, an organization that provides life-changing outdoor adventures for servicemen and women who’ve sustained traumatic injuries in the line of duty. To add to that, Louisiana’s very own Busbice Family will be there with cameras in tow filming an episode of their wildly popular reality hunting television show Wildgame Nation, set to air on the Outdoor Channel. As with all past Bayou Bucks charity shoots, food, entertainment, and several thousand dollars in door prizes will be given away.

While most folks have grown accustomed to attending previous Bayou Bucks shoots in Opelousas, Louisiana each year, Event Coordinator, Briley Leger, explains his reasoning for moving the venue closer to New Orleans: “We want to start moving the shoot around the state to provide hunters in different areas with a better opportunity to attend, so relocating to the SLO 3D Range in Belle Chasse was a fair choice this year.” With over 50 targets placed along a wooded one-half mile limestone walking trail that includes eight elevated shooting towers, this year’s venue at SLO 3D Archery will be one to remember. “SLO has one of the most incredible ranges I’ve ever seen!” exclaimed Leger. “I hope everyone who has attended our shoots in the past will come out again to support our veterans and represent Bayou Bucks on national TV.”

Matt Busbice, of Baton Rouge-headquartered Wildgame Innovations and the Wildgame Nation television show, expressed his excitement as well. “We’ve never done something like this on Wildgame Nation, but we’re fired up to help our local Bayou Bucks friends, as well as Combat Marine Outdoors and the great service that their organization provides to our veterans,” he said. One of the highlights of the episode will be the auctioning of a helicopter hog hunt in Texas, donated by Craig Meier of Heli Hunter LLC, with the winner’s hunt being featured on Wildgame Nation.

All net proceeds from the auctioned hunts and fishing trips, as well as tournament entry fees, will be donated to Combat Marine Outdoors. Shooters will be eligible to win a vast array of door prizes including guns, bows, deer stands, and other hunting-related products. Businesses and individuals interested in donating gifts and prizes are encouraged to contact Pat Davis at (504) 669-0296 as soon as possible to have your name and business included on all Bayou Bucks Bull & Bow Shoot marketing literature.
