Although Jeff hunts just about every critter that calls the Bayou State home, whitetail bucks have always held a unique interest for him—so much so that he’s grown what once was a hobby of skull mounting deer into a successful business. Never settling for the average has helped JT’s Skullworks flourish, and his perseverance for excellence carries itself from his shop onto the playing field of deer hunting, where Jeff logs countless hours on his Concordia Parish property hunting deer by rifle, muzzleloader, and bow-and-arrow.
Ever since killing his first deer over twenty years ago, Jeff has stomped the woods near his hometown of Jonesville, Louisiana in search of the legendary bucks his area’s known to produce. After a 6 year departure to obtain his degree from LA Tech University in Ruston, Jeff moved back home and began work at the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Recreational Specialist. His true passion never wavered, nor could it, for Jeff lives in a part of the state where deer hunters are a majority, monster bucks are widespread, and wilderness is everywhere. Whether it be planting food plots, hanging lock-ons, mounting skulls, talking hunting, or writing articles, Jeff cherishes all of these moments equally and knows firsthand what a sportsman’s paradise is all about.
