*2008-2009 Bens Creek WMA Hunting Seasons:

Note: Area Closed Nov. 1-2, to all hunters EXCEPT youth and handicapped deer hunters.

Deer:

Archery: Oct. 1-Jan. 31, either-sex.
Youth & Handicapped: Nov. 1-2, either-sex.
Firearms Either-sex: Nov. 28, Daily Permit. Nov. 29-30, Dec. 6-12 & 20-26, Self-clearing Permit.
Firearms Bucks only: Dec. 27-Jan. 11.
Primitive Firearms: Dec. 13-19 and Jan. 12-18, either-sex.

Small Game & Waterfowl:

Same as outside, EXCEPT CLOSED Nov. 1-2 & 28-30, Dec. 6-12 & 20-26. Beagles allowed for rabbits and dogs allowed for squirrel hunting Jan. 19-Feb. 28 and OPEN to squirrel hunting during the spring season, May 2-10, with or without dogs.

Raccoon (Nighttime):

Jan. 19-Feb. 28.

Unmarked Hogs:

May be taken by properly licensed hunters from Oct. 1-Feb. 28.
